You will earn more respect from the locals
if you observe these simple rules.
All standard medicines are available in pharmacies, but make sure that if you are on any prescribed medication, you bring extra.
You should always travel with insurance, just in case you are taken ill or you lose something.
If you are bringing electrical devices, such as a hair dryer or a mobile phone, make sure you bring an adapter / converter for the two-pin Moroccan power sockets.
The local currency is Dirhams and there are approximately 16 Dirhams to the pound. It is not possible to purchase Dirhams in England, but you can either purchase them at the airport when you arrive, or purchase in a bank, or simply use one of the many cash machines found in every town.
It is advisable to bring a small amount of cash with you, either Sterling or Euros, as many places will accept these currencies.
It is not advisable that you bring travellers cheques, as it can be difficult to cash these, especially in Sidi Ifni.
