This will be for women wanting to learn MOROCCAN SHABBI.

This beginners' Moroccan Shabbi dance class will teach you correct body posture, basic moves and a short choreography, as well as historical knowledge of the dance.

You will have 2 hours daily tuition 11-1pm, and 1 hour theory, history and video 6-7pm.

Tribal and other style can be taught on a different date if four or more friends book at the same time, and the group can learn the basics to get started as a Tribal troupe.

  • Day 1 On your arrival you will get familiar with your locality and there will be a talk and video in evening.
  • Day 2 Trip to Laxerah beach.
  • Day 3 Visit to the village of Merlift.
  • Day 4 Walk along the long stretch of beach and visit the fishing port. In the evening you can have your hands and feet decorated with henna art.
  • Day 5 Visiting the women’s cooperative in Mesti where they make argan oil. You can buy their products.
  • Day 6 Visit to Tiznit to buy silver jewellery or visit the local hammam where we will be scrubbed and massaged.
  • Day 7 Stay local or a visit to the Nomad museum in the desert near Gulaemen. In the evening we have our hafla (a party) where we dance, hopefully to live music; if you're learning drums you can join in for a jam.

I can arrange any date in December, January and Feburary if group booking of 6 or more women.
